THE MORGAN JACKET
This beautifully tailored jacket is inspired by the Victorian era, one of Genevieve's most influential periods of design. Structure is intertwined with sculpture by fusing pattern drafting with draping to create this timeless yet modern piece. The jacket is draped on the dress form from a large, rectangular section of fabric which has two pattern drafted armholes on either side. The armholes are put in place on the form and the jacket is hand sculpted using these as a guide. The piece is then hand sewn using a needle and thread, the sleeves, which are cut from a pattern, are lastly machine sewn to the jacket. This piece is made from a lightweight wool suiting containing a small amount of stretch, ensuring a perfect fit. It has hidden hook and eye closures so as to not interfere with the front drape.
This piece is one-of-a-kind, hand sculpted and hand sewn by Genevieve Graham. This jacket has been sold, to order a similar version or to make an inquiry, please contact email@example.com
